Halloween
Every year as I get older Halloween gets less and less exiting for me. I remember when I was little only dressing up a couple times, my parents weren't really into the spirit so not every year I would dress up. One year I was minnie mouse, and another i believe a bunny.. I really don't remember and i couldn't find any pictures. Trick- or- treating has been the traditon for many of us. And attending many events like Universal's Horror Nights. I went about three weeks ago and it was so much fun! It was crowded though. I went only in a couple of mazes the first was the Llorona. It was not to scary for me but I thought it was hilarious becase my brother and my sister-in-law went in front of me and they were the first ones to get scared. lol I also went on the scream tram. I liked that one the best, I thought it was kool when we got off the little tram ride as soon as we got there the chainsaws went off and to me tat was exiting. Lots of people getting scared and yelling and trying to run away. I remember the one moment i really got scared was walking to the Wolf man maze i think, my friends and I were walking and they have the fog going, so you can't see where your going. I was walking holding my friend's arm and staring at some girl that was yelling because she had gotten scared, then i look in front of me and their was this clown in my face! I jumped, I didn't expect him to be there.

Last year for Halloween I carved pumpkins with my boyfriend . =) It was lots of fun even though it can be messy. My pumpkin wasn't that great but his was, this year I didn't carve pumpkins. =? The past couple of years I've gone to Hollywood with my brother and his friends, its fun seen all these different funny, ugly, scary, etc costumes! The one costume I remember was hilarious was this guy dressed up as woody the cowboy. It was one of those costumes you slip into and it had the horse sticking out so it looked like he was riding it. There were officers on horses passing by on the street and this woody guy pretended to gallop next to the horses saying "there's a snake in my boot. " lol and one of hte officers made the horse dance and the guy got all scared. =) too bad this year I don't think ill be able to go to Hollywood. My brother is not in town and it just won't be the same without him.

In Mexico we don't celebrate Halloween but what is called "Dia de Los Muertos " wich is on November 1st and 2nd. On these days catholics have gatherings of family and friends and they all pray for those close to them who have passed away. Also they create altars for the deceased by using decorations like skulls and the person's favorite food and beverages, and they also visit their graves and take these as gifts to them. I've never had the chance to be in Mexico during this time but i would definitely like to experince it. And visit my great grama. =)

  2. I have been one time at Hollywood on the Halloween Night, but it was really a fun to see different kinds of a scary, funny, and ugly costumes. Today my kids and I went around the neighborhood to “trick or tread”. It is fun day for them, and it is the only day in the year that they can collect a lot of candies =)

  4. When I first got here in the US, it was halloween and i didn't expect the way kids celebrate it. They wear costumes and go trick-or-treating which in the Philippines, we don't celebrate it that way. Same as the people in Mexico, November and November 2 are devoted to those close to us who passed away. November 1 is actually ALL SAINTS DAY and November 2 is ALL SOULS DAY. We visit our love ones grave, clean their tomb and offer prayers for them. ^_^
