Final blog!
The semester is almost over, and classes are almost done. Im exited for the winter break! This year has gone by so fast! =( And what a year it has been i think this year I learned alot about myself. I've learned to be a strong independent woman and so much more. I thank god for all the wonderfull blessing he has givin my family and I. As I am getiing older reality is sinking in, even though sometimes I wish I was a kid again I've learned that no matter what my family is the most important thing. My brother and I have always so close, and as we got older I must say we have grown apart. But I have realized it is part of life and we might not see each other as often like we used to, but we still share wonderfull memories and i consider him one of my bestfriends. Even though we can't talk about girly stuff lol he is definitely the one guy I can always go to. My famlily is not the the closest and I definitely miss all my uncles and aunts but sometimes you have to learn the hardway how people easily change.
Christmas is almost here and the only gift that I ask for God to bless my parents, my brother and I. We have come along way this year, theres been many ups and downs. Like my great grama's passing but this only makes our unity stronger as a family. I can say we have all grown this year and have had many accomplishements. My biggest accomplishment this year was going back to school, although im not a full time student because of work, im trying to move forward and do something with my life and make my dreams come true. And most of all make my parents proud. I think that will be my biggest accomplishment in life, to make my parents. They have done so much for me i belive the least i can do for them is show them I appreciate their hard work by taking what they have shown me in life and be someone in life.
This year not only did I meet wonderfull people that I will never forget but also went thru a rough relationship that taught me many things. I must say that relationship definitely made me grow and realize what king of people there are in the world. What that saying " You can forgive but not forget?" Well i'll forgive but definitely not forget all those bad people that have hurt me along this year. There is reasons why people come into your life and I Thank God for putting those that have really made a difference in my life.
I would like to thank Ms Duffield for been and awsome Eglish teacher ! And Rosa my buddy in English class that made this class fun to be with. =) ANd Malen and Ossanna for the comments on my blogs.
Have a Safe and WONDERFULL Chistmas everyone!!! I hope all you wishes and dreams come true for the following year and God BLess

Blog # 11
Finally a weekend that i could go out and have fun! I worked an early shirt this Saturday and was able to go out with my friends. =) I went clubbing with my cousin and my friend and my brother and his girlfriend. It was funny because all of us had a long day and on the way to the club we stopped to eat at Carls and we all looked at each other and everyone looked tired. It was about 9 pm and my brother said its starting to rain we could all be in bed goin to sleep and we all started laughin. And I said "I know but look at us here we are " lol we had our food and we were off to the club.
As always I got stuck sitting in the middle, I dont like that because i get claustrophobic and my brother had the heater on because it was freezing and it was raining. Also i felt really shaky because i had drank a red bull at work earlier and i guess it was starting to make me crash. =/ We finally got to the club and it was super crowded it was "Guerra de Corridos." Corridos are songs in spanish i know you guys probably don't kno what they are. I never use to like this kind of music but i guess when your friends play it alot around you, you start liking it. Im not a fan of all of the songs theres some, what i listen to are the lyrics to most songs i don't know why but I like to understand what songs say not just because everyone else listens to it i will to. Same with english music dont you feel the same?
Anyways we danced our butts off as much as we could because it was super crowded most people werent dancing so it kinda looked like a concert people just recording. The singers were also giving aways cds and posters so it was even more crowded than usual. Alot of girls would get up on stage to take pictures, i really don't think I would do that ever number one im shy and don't think ill ever have guts to do that. And second of all those girls look ridiculous just jumping on stage with short dresses show i dnt know what to everyone.
|-( to me thats gross. But ya our night was fun i had a goodtime, we decided to go home around 2. It was kind of funny because everyone was silent and i just keep blabling aways I think it was the red bull because i felt so enegetic and i was not tired . My cousin fell asleep on the way home so I finally shut up because i thought i was been anoying. ON the way home it was driziling and it looked really nice. My brther and I dropped everyone off at their house and then we finally got home. That was my weekend, well one day of my weekend because like always i was stuck closing at work friday and sunday night.

Blog # 10
This week nothing too exiting went on in my life. This friday i was scheduled to work 11 to 7 and ended up getting off work a little later. This totally sucked because I had planned to go to the movies and the show time was 745 by the time i got home and got ready it would take time. I went with my friend and we did not make it on time we tried getting ther as sonn as possible but the tickets were sold out to Jack and Jill. The next show time would be like ten i think, so we ended up going to the mall to walk around. I think its crasy how thanksgiving hasn't even passed and the mall has all these christmas decorations already. The mall we went to was the one in Valencia. Honestly I don't like it but its closest to my home so we went there. We walked around and we talked about what we wanted for christmas. =) I found what I wanted and hopefully I can get it for myself, he thought it was ridiculous how much it was. It was a juicy couture purse but i like so why not buy it for myself =D. I think i work hard enough and deserve it. lol
So after walking around i decided I would get my brothers girlfriend her christmas card, shes my bestfriend and we always send christmas cards to each other. So we were in Hallmark and there were so many nice cards I didn't know wich one to choose. My friend was getting inpatient so he was like randomly handing me cards and finally the lady from the store said to us "we are closed " and thank goodness I had made my decision by then. lol So the mall closed and we decided to go grab something to eat. It was 930 and we went to this place called Las Delcias it's a mexican place. We ordered food and the place was crowded so we sat outside. It was cold and while we got our food we were just talking about random stuff. We finally got our food so we ate, as we were finishing our food it began to rain on us. It was nice but it got cold so we headed home and called it a night.
Saturday we decided to go watch the movie with my brother and his girlfriend. We went in the daytime becuause i had to close that day. So we watched Jack and JIll, it was a really funny movie. It was about these twins and how the brother isn't too exited about having his identical sister in town and how he tries to get rid of her asap since she will only b in town for a few days. I really enjoyed the movie made me crack up. I recomend you guys to watch it. After the movie i had to work =/ and it really sucked because all my friends got together to watch the fight Marquez vs Pacquiao and i was stuck at work. Don't you guys hate that when something fun or just your friends doing something together and you have to be the one missing out? I do it sucks when i have to close so late and then i get home till almost 12. Today was and ok day woke up preety tired and worked 11 to 7 again nothing too much went on this day.

My first job
When I was sixteen and in High School I had my very first job. One day my mom and I were driving to the post office and we saw a now hiring sign in front of a store that was going to open in our town, called Vallarta Supermarkets. Vallarta if you don't know is a Mexican grocery store. My mom said I should apply for a part time job for the summer, so I did. I got hired as a courtesy clerk or a box gilr wat ever you want to call it, and started asap. The store would soon have its grand opening and never in my life did I think I would still currently be working there. Been a courtesy clerk was a simply job, all I had to do was help bag groceries tell the customer "thank you and have a good day". Since I was in school i would only work four hours a day after school for four to five days a week. As time went by my manager started letting me cashier so i would sometimes help on the register. When i turned 18 I was finally of age to be able to sell alcohol so i became a cashier. At first it seemed a little difficult, because i had to learn over 100 codes for the produce. I really don't know how but i guess i have a good memory, I was able to learn quickly and memorize all the codes. I guess after practice they just stay in your mind. After I had the codes down I quckly began to gain more speed at the register. If you've been to Vallarta you'll know how crowded and busy it can get on the holiday or on the weekends.
Vallarta doesn't have an employee of the month or of the year but they did have cashier of the week for a while. You were scored on produce tests, on your customer service and your productivity. I was cashier of the week for five weeks in a row. =) When you earned cashier of the week you would get a saturday and sunday off as a reward. So it was nice having weekends off for a while. I enjoyed cashiering and even though customers would sometimes not be the greatest to you I tried to make the best of it. What I have learned from working at Vallarta is to have alot of patience and obviously I've learned customer service. Let me tell you some people are just the rudest to you sometimes, I've had some interesting experinces as a cashier. But I will never forget this one lady who called me a "bitch." This woman got angry with me when I wouldn't accept her payment of a check when our company policy clearly said we ddint accept checks with p.o. box adresses on it. She became furious when I enformed her I couldm't accept her check I had to call my manager and he dealt with it. I really don't know how but I managed to stay calm and proceed with work . I must say though it took alot not to talk back to that woman!
Today I work in the Customer Service booth. I like my job it deals more with handeling larger amounts of money so its more responsibilty. In the customer service we sell money orders, calling cards, lotto tickets, scatchers, and we also do money gram transactions. The greatest responsibility though is counting the cashiers registers after their shift is over, we verfy their sales and add everything up at the end of the night. It can be stressfull and i must admit exausting at times, but i enjoy what I do. What I also like is that they work around my schedule wich is nice and gives me the opportunity to go to school.

Halloween

Every year as I get older Halloween gets less and less exiting for me. I remember when I was little only dressing up a couple times, my parents weren't really into the spirit so not every year I would dress up. One year I was minnie mouse, and another i believe a bunny.. I really don't remember and i couldn't find any pictures. Trick- or- treating has been the traditon for many of us. And attending many events like Universal's Horror Nights. I went about three weeks ago and it was so much fun! It was crowded though. I went only in a couple of mazes the first was the Llorona. It was not to scary for me but I thought it was hilarious becase my brother and my sister-in-law went in front of me and they were the first ones to get scared. lol I also went on the scream tram. I liked that one the best, I thought it was kool when we got off the little tram ride as soon as we got there the chainsaws went off and to me tat was exiting. Lots of people getting scared and yelling and trying to run away. I remember the one moment i really got scared was walking to the Wolf man maze i think, my friends and I were walking and they have the fog going, so you can't see where your going. I was walking holding my friend's arm and staring at some girl that was yelling because she had gotten scared, then i look in front of me and their was this clown in my face! I jumped, I didn't expect him to be there.
Last year for Halloween I carved pumpkins with my boyfriend . =) It was lots of fun even though it can be messy. My pumpkin wasn't that great but his was, this year I didn't carve pumpkins. =? The past couple of years I've gone to Hollywood with my brother and his friends, its fun seen all these different funny, ugly, scary, etc costumes! The one costume I remember was hilarious was this guy dressed up as woody the cowboy. It was one of those costumes you slip into and it had the horse sticking out so it looked like he was riding it. There were officers on horses passing by on the street and this woody guy pretended to gallop next to the horses saying "there's a snake in my boot. " lol and one of hte officers made the horse dance and the guy got all scared. =) too bad this year I don't think ill be able to go to Hollywood. My brother is not in town and it just won't be the same without him.
In Mexico we don't celebrate Halloween but what is called "Dia de Los Muertos " wich is on November 1st and 2nd. On these days catholics have gatherings of family and friends and they all pray for those close to them who have passed away. Also they create altars for the deceased by using decorations like skulls and the person's favorite food and beverages, and they also visit their graves and take these as gifts to them. I've never had the chance to be in Mexico during this time but i would definitely like to experince it. And visit my great grama. =)

Paranormal Activity 3
This Saturday I went to the movie theather to watch Paranormal Activity 3. I dont know why but I like watching scary movies. It was an alright movie my friend and I went together and for the most part he got more scared than I did. I only got scared like twice. I enjoy scary movies and it's kind of hard to get scared easily. Half of the time I was laughing because, they guys sitting next to us were all scared and shaking and covering their faces. lol. I don't want to ruin the movie if you haven't seen it but I will say it does have to do with the first and second one. I just don't like the way in wich the movies came out, maybe it was the order in wich the tapes were found? But that just makes you want to go back and watch them all again. I think im going to do that, because there is parts I forgot already.
For some reason I don't have nightmares when I watch scary movies like this one, but the weird part was that I did this week. It was thursday night, before I even watched the movie, it wasn't pleasant at all. All that i remember is sleeping and feeling like I wasn't able to move, I keped wanting to wake up and open my eyes but i couldn't. I felt as if I had no control of my body and it was a very scary feeling. Finally i managed to wake up and as soon as I could open my eyes I looked at the clock and it was 3AM. I lay in my bed quiet, and all that I could hear was my heart pounding in my chest. I looked at my bed and my blankets were gone. I looked on the floor and there they were I grabbed them and put them over me again and waited to see what would happen. Of course nothing did, and from waiting for nothing to happen I fell back asleep. The next morning I told my mom what had happend and she didn't believe me.
Growing up I hardly remeber having nightmares or dreams like these. My friend says I dreamed that because I fell asleep thinking about the movie. I think it could be that, or maybe because we were making fun of my brother the day before because he's always been a chicken in scary things. And when we envited him to join us for Saturday he said he'd rather not. And the one who ended up having the nightmare was me =/
I've always wondered why do we dream at night? Or why do we dream of something and then it really happens for reals? Because I've had that also happen to me, dreaming about something and then it really happens and I always feel like I've already done it before, like Deja Vu or something.

Selena Quintanilla
(1971-1995)

When I was a little girl I remember I use to love listening to Selena. Selena was a famous Latin artist often called "the queen of Tejanao music. " My mom and dad say I use to imatate her and dance and sing to her music when I was little.(This i dont remember lol ) Only one ocasion when my mom and I were on our way to the store I remember listening to her on the radio and I was singing and the next thing I kno we get hit by a car. That was the only time I remeber me singing along to her music and I was supper scared that we had gotten hit by a car I just stopped singing. But we were ok. My parents say my uncle use to record me all the time but still today I have been able to locate those videos. Good thing because I would be emberrased to see them. lol Here is one of my favorite songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAufRfxKqtU&feature=related
Selena was born to Abraham Quintanilla and Marcela Selena was a great singer though she had to take a lot of critizism as a woman latin singer she was very succesfull. Selena started singing at a young age in a band her father formed consisting of her, her brother A.B. and her sister Suzzete, called Selena y Los Dinos. Selena's father taught her brother how to play the guitar (bass) and her sister was the drummer while she was the lead singer. Mr. Qintanilla was a strict father and would force Selena and her siblings to pratice daily. They would play at their parent's restaurant, parties and fairs. When Selena was fourteen she recorded her first album in Courpus Christi, Texas. Selenas spanish wasn't the greatest and had to learn quickly. Many thought Selena would not be a successful female lead singer in the genre of Tejano music, because of the males dominated the music. Selena's father was determined to make her a successful singer and selena finishes high school thru mail. The Quintanilla family traveled between 1986 and 1989, and Selena released several albums. In 1987 Selena won FEMALE Vocalist of the Year at the Tejano Music Awards, and won for eight consecutive years.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkCAwx5BPOA&feature=related

In 1988, Selena met Chris Perez, who previously had his own Rock band, but then became her guitarist. Selena and Chris began to fall in love with each other, Selena's father was mad and tried to keep them apart and even fired Chris from the band. Mr. Quintanilla thought the relationship between the two would ruin Selena's career. Even though her father disaproved of him Selena and Chris eloped on April 2, 1992, in Nueces County, Texas. Selena confronted her father the next day after radio stations announced the marriage, her father then accepted the relationship and Pérez in the family.
On March 31, 1995, {my birthday:( } Selena was shot by a woman who worked for her. That day Selena had met up with Saldivar at her hotel who was returning some paperwork she stole from Selena. She told Saldivar she was no longer trusted by her and Saldivar pulled a gun out of her purse and shot Selena in the right lower sholder, hitting a major artery that led from Selena's heart, resulting in a massive blood loss. Selena ran to the hotel lobby and before collapsing to the floor she named Saldivar as her assailant and gave the room number where she had been shot. At 23 years old Selena was pronounced dead at 1:05 pm due to blood loss and cardiac arrest. ;(
Saldivar was taken under arrest and reamains in prison.

Italy
When I was in High School, I took I Italian for two years. You are required to take at least two languages in high school, so for my freshman and sophmore year i took spansh for spanish speakers. For my junior and senior year i took Italian, but i really don't remember anything but like two or three words. lol I must say though i do not regret taking the class. All of my closest friends also took the class with me and it was way more fun. =) One day our junior year our italian teacher, Mrs. Moskal asked the class who would be interested in going to Italy if she organized a trip? My friends and I were exited and thought the would be kool if we all went together. There were six of us and we hoped all of our parents would let us go. Days went by and Mrs. Moskal continued oraganizing the trip, and gave us more details about it. Meanwhile I had asked my parents if I could go, but they didn't seem ok with the idea. But I told them Mrs. Moskal said we could anyone of our family members with us, and I asked my brother to come with and he said he would. So I had permission to go and now we were only waiting on my friends' permission from their parents.
It was amazing that all of our parents had given us permision, so we all began to pack our bags. We went during our winter break so we left after christmas and we would spend new years in Italy. Our flight was almost 12 hours long and felt like forever!! I had nver been on and airplane that long, but we finally arrived in Milan, and headed to the hotel we would be staying in Tuscany. The time change was a lil crasy becase we where all tired and wanted to sleep but it was daylight so we were thrown off big time. The first place we visited was the colosseum in Rome, i was amased on how big it was. And it was very interesting to learned the colosseum was used for gladiatorial contest and public spectacle like animal hunts, executions and dramas based on Classical mythology. The building was also used for entertainment in the early medival era and later reused for housing or workshops. Today the colosseum is ruined by damages of earthquakes, but is one of Rome's most popular attractions.
The next place we visited was Pisa, wich is known worldwide for its leaning tower or Torre pendente di Pisa. The leaning tower is almost 184 feet on the lower side from the ground and 186 feet on the higher side. The tower has 296 or 294 steps, because the seventh floor has two fewer steps on the north-facing staircase. The tower leaned at an angle of 5.5 degrees between 1990 and 2001 but the tower now leans at about 3.99 degrees. This makes the tower seem like it's falling and many people like to take pictures and here is my picture not very succesful at making the ilusion that i was holding it but i tried.
Our trip was very exiting and even though i was very home sick and missed my parents i did enjoy myself and hopefully one day i will go back and visit Italy again .=)
We also went to the Sistine Chapel in Rome where Michael Angelo painted the ceiling of the Chapel wich took about four years to complete from (1508 to 1512). Michael Angelo's work is part of a large scheme of decoration within the chapel wich represents much of the doctrine of the Catholic Church. The painting contains over 300 figures and at the center nine episodes from the Book of Genesis, that was divided into 3 groups; God's creation of the Earth, God's creation of humankind, and the state of humanity. Also in Michael angelo's painting are paintings of The Creation of Adam and Eve.
We were not allowed to take pictures inside of the chapel so i tried my best to snap some pictures I tried the best that I could.
Heres another not the best but again I was trying not to get caught taking the pictures. lol

When I turned sixteen I got my license that summer, I was really exited, even though it was a provisional license and could only drive by myself or with an adult with a license I was thrilled. The provisional license only lets you drive certain hours at night but I didn't care I was happy I had passed both my written and behind the wheel test on my first try. I remember those days perfectly. The first was the day I took my written test, my brother took me I was so not ready that day, he got home from work and I was suppose to be studying because I knew he was going to take me to the dmv that afternoon, but I fell asleep. So when he got home he woke me up and said "Let's go." And all I remember was been mad at myself for forgeting to study and falling asleep. We got to the DMV and I got my test and sat down, I seemed to know what I was doing because I felt like I was done preety quick. I looked at my brother and I saw his expression wich meant "to go over the test again," so I did. Then i finally got up and took it to the lady that would grade it, and she went thru it so fast i wasn't counting how many I was getting wrong. Then all i heard was "you passed," I was soo exited! And I hugged my brother and he was happy for me too. Afterwards I scheduled an appointment for my behind the wheel test. That day I was really nervous, my mom took me this time I remember having that one person who everyone seemed to fail when they took the test. AKA the "the fat lady" she was known to be a tough grader and alot of peple would fail. So in my head i was like fml. So we took off, she would tell me where to turn and I listened I drove freakin nervous but i played it off kool. Finally she asked me to drive back to the DMV so I did, I pulled in to a parking spot and she said,"turn off the engine," I did. She checked off things on the paperwork in her hands and said,"you passed." I got out of the car and called my dad, I was soo happy he said "felicidades hija." I walked towards my mom and she knew i passed she said becasue i had a big smile on my face.
After passing my tests I was exited, because i knew the next step was going to be for me to be getting a car. Meanwhile I drove my parents car, but I wanted my own car. I had money saved up so I knew that money would go towards my first car. When I turned seventeen I bought my first car, a 2003 vw jetta. I liked it alot it was gray small and cute. And best of all it was mine =). It got me from point A to point B and that was all i needed it for preety much so i was happy. I was in High school i would drive it to school, from school to home, and work and back. The only thing I didn't like about my car was that it was stick shift, at first i was like ya i like it, since I first learned to drive in a stick shirt car but after a while i got annoyed. I wanted an automatic car.
When I was almost nineteen my brother bought himself a new truck, and I decided to get rid of my car and I kept his old truck. =) I loved my new truck it was big and i was exited because I felt way better in a truck than the small jetta i remember driving in freeways and thinking gosh those trailers are going to crush me. But now i was thrilled to have a big truck, I wasn't scared of any cars on the road. I felt the same and not little anymore. My truck is spacious and I feel like I could fit way more friends in it. lol. Plus i feel like it fits my personality.

What an axausting day this Thursday was for me. =/ It all started early, really early in the mornig around 4 am. I was sleeping and woke up to my house phone ringing, and I knew something was wrong. It was one of those moments when you have a bad feeling and you just expect the worst. After the phone rang acouple of times, I knew my mom had answered it, because I did not hear it go to our answering machine. I layed in my bed waiting for her to walk in, as if she would just come in and give me bad news. She never did. I wanted to go to her room and find out what was going on, but I was scared. I was afraid, I didn't want to know what had happend, so I stayed in my room. I guess after thinking about it too much i managed to go back to sleep.
I didn't sleep for too long, because I woke up at six am again to my brother's and mom's conversation. I heard them talking in the hallway and yes I was right, something bad had happend.=( My heart was pounding and my stomach turned into a knot. All that i remember hearing was my mom telling my brother, that someone had passed away. I didn't hear who and i layed in my bed silent, I didn't know what to think. I stared into the dark ceiling with no answer. Then my brother came in my room, he told me our great grandma (my dad's grandma) passed away. I stayed silent. The first person that came to my mind was my dad. He's working in San Diego and I knew he was probably feeling really sad. He always told us many stories about his childhood, growing up with his grandma. She was a hard working woman and always cared for my dad.
I believe my great grandma was in her late 90's and the last time I saw her was about two years ago when I went to Mexico with my brother. She was so sweet and always asking us about my dad.
The one thing that sucked too was that this Thursday that we found out my great grandma passed away, was my brother's 25th birthday. He told me he was happy waking up in the morning and after hearing the bad news, his happiness went down the drain. I feel bad too because we will always remember my brother's birthday as very sad day. =( That thursday I was soo sad and tired I had driven my mom to San Diego so she could meet up with my dad and they left to Mexico asap. And on top of everything I had to work from 4 pm to 1130 pm. I was on little sleep and had too many things on my mind.
Now my great grandma is in a better place and watching over my family and I.

Memories
Earlier this week my brother and I were remembering funny moments we had. All brothers and sisters have memories I think or experiences, and the one I will never forget was when my brother almost fell off a horse. Even though it was scary, now everytime we remember that day we always laugh about it. It was one of those moments I wish i had recorded. =) It wasn't too long ago so i remember it perfectly. It was one evenig i came outside my house and i saw my brother robert and his girlfriend Jasmin. My mom was outside like always waterig her garden. I approched my brother and Jasmin and said, "hi"and we just kicked it outside my house, when our friend Alex came by riding his horse.
That evening Alex had gone out to ride his horse and stopped by to say hi to us. I don't know why but my brother asked Alex if he could ride the horse. He said, "hey dude let me get on the horse." Alex said, "No, your in shorts, go put some jeans on." My brother didn't care if he was in shorts or not, he just cared about getting on the horse. So Alex finally said, "fine." So Alex got off and Robert got on the horse, he rode the horse in front of the house back and forth. He said to us, "Watch me, i'll make it gallop and go fast," I was like "yeah right," because he doesn't know how so we knew he was just kidding.
I don't know how but all of a sudden the horse takes off at full speed, and we thought my brother was messing around, so we started laughing but we realize he wasnt. The horse with my brother still on it was charging down the street at full speed, we run to the middle of the street to see where he was heading and all we see is my brother hanging on for his life and him yelling "Oh Oh oh!!" But the horse wouldn't stop!! Alex started running after and i was scared all that was going through my head was "oh my goodness my brother is gona eat it!" My mom had seen the whole thing and yelled at me to go see my brother so Jasmin and I started running too.
We finally got to where the horse had stopped and we see my brother is fine. My heart was still racing, I definitely was happy to see my brother was ok but all that i could say to him was "what the hell were you thinking??" and he told us he had nothing to do with it he was not expecting the horse to do that. And he was hoping the horse would listen to his commands but the horse wouldn't. He said he was ready to jump off, when the horse came to a stop, and that was his chance to get off. Never did i think that was going to happen I had never been so scared for my brother. =( I was honestly thinking he would be seriosly injured or something but thank goodness he was ok. And now we will never forget this experience and we always clown on him and tease him, about how he looked and how he was yelling .

This Labor Day I went to Newport Beach, with my brother, his girlfriend and friends. It was the first holiday in a long time that I had gotten the day off of work. It was about an hour and a half drive to get there, but it was worth it. The weather on the way there was not the the greatest, as we got closer to Newport I was beginning to feel bummed out. The day seemed pretty cloudy and there was a ten percent chance of rain. When we arrived we figured we would make the best out of this trip.
We found a spot were to set our things, and as the day progressed the weather got much better! The sun was out and we decided to go to this shop we had seen to rent beach bikes. We went on a two hour bike ride, we rode along the side of the beach where people enjoyed their selves in their beach houses. Although the houses look small they seem fun to live in, having the beach as your backyard. As i rode along I saw many people having barbeques, listening to music an having drinks with friends and family. As our bike ride came to an end i was feeling tiered,( I didn't really think I would have work out of this day). We returned our bikes and headed for the water.
I was really exited to get in the water, even though i don't know how to swim. I wanted to have fun and enjoy the nice sunny day! The water seemed freezing and as I approached the cold water I came to a stop to realize I had stepped on something and it hurt! I looked down to see what it was and i had stepped on a bee!! ;( It hurt sooo much, the bee's stinger was in my foot! And i finally managed to get it out. The pain was crazy! I never thought it would hurt that much. As the day went on the pain became less and i decided to jump in the water (this time i looked out for any more bees on the ground. lol.) The water was indeed freezing and very salty, we enjoyed our time in the water though. I had lots of fun.
After been in the water we laid out to get some sun, some of us ended up taking a nap. After we all were awake it was time to head back home.. When we got home our families were having a barbecue and thank goodness because after all the fun at the beach we were starving! The carne asada was awsome! After a long day I was super tired, but i will definitely go back to Newport Beach. I wish i had gone to the beach more ofter this summer but because of work its sometimes hard. Maybe next year i'll have way more beach trips that i can enjoy with my family and friends. =)
